Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC Georgia License No. LPC006026
I believe we are all trying our best and that we are the experts on ourselves, our rela-tionships, and our families. However sometimes life brings us more than we know how to handle. We may keep things in or act in certain ways that aren’t helpful for ourselves or our relationships, and yet we usually just haven’t figured out a better way. Thankfully, therapy can help us move beyond our pain, fear, and unhelpful behavior, and instead toward a greater sense of peace, happiness, and connection. When we experience moments of sharing ourselves fully and honoring and accepting what "is" without avoidance or judgment, I believe we can take what is helpful and leave the rest behind.
I have had the honor and privilege of being a partner at Pine River Psychotherapy Associates since 2017. Prior to private practice I was fortunate to work in a variety of nonprofit and agency settings, where I received specialized training and experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, family violence, trauma, and neglect. I began my education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and subsequently earned a Master of Science and Specialist Degree (EdS) in Professional Counseling at Georgia State University.

I am privileged to work with individuals of all ages, couples, and both intact and divorced families. I also offer supervision to therapists pursuing their LPC and RPT certification. I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy to support couples and families in strengthening and restoring their connection with themselves and each other.
In addition to child and adolescent therapy, a large part of my practice is spent with parents and caregivers using filial therapy, training and empowering parents to take an active role in their children’s therapy and healing. Enhanced connection offers a new sense of hope and peace within ourselves, our relationships, and our families. I am a certified Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapist & Supervi-sor.
