Pine River Psychotherapy Associates was Proud to have Presented:

Dr. Tammy Nelson, Certified Imago therapist and author of
"Getting the Sex You Want: Shed Your Inhibitions and
Reach New Heights of Passion Together"

On Friday evening, April 23, Dr. Tammy Nelson held a public lecture at Pine River Psychotherapy Associates entitled “Getting the Sex You Want.” Her talk conveyed the importance of building and supporting a strong sexual connection for couples. A certified Imago therapist, Dr. Nelson emphasized that the core bonding that occurs in a healthy sexual connection leads to a greater level of joy and satisfaction in all areas of an intimate relationship.

On Saturday April 24th, Pine River Psychotherapy Associates hosted a therapist training workshop on Couples Therapy and Sexuality.

One participant summarized Saturday’s well attended therapist training workshop, saying, “I feel more empowered and comfortable talking about sex with clients.”

Dr. Nelson affirmed her belief that erotic energy can be a powerful, healing force in our intimate relationships. She provided attendees with clear information about sexual intimacy and introduced structured exercises and dialogues to help clients and therapists speak freely about this topic. Through small-group, experiential exercises, therapists were encouraged to identify their own comfort zones and challenging ‘edges’ around the topic of passion in relationships.
